The last stop on our Arizona and Utah Adventures by Disney was Moab, Utah. Here we hiked up to Delicate Arch, went jet-boating and finally rafting down the Colorado River. We also did a few excursions on our own like ATV riding and horseback riding.
The hike to Delicate arch is a 1.6 mile round trip and the grade was much easier than Bright Angel Trail in the Grand Canyon. It was hot and very arid so and our guides Samantha and Doug encouraged each person to take two bottles of water. Finish one by the time you reach the top and the other by the time you reach the bottom. Also don't worry if you are a little slow, one of our guides (usually Samantha) was always bring up the rear taking time with the slower members of the group to make sure everyone was safe and had a good time - not just on this hike, but every other hike where we walked as a group.
This photo of Delicate Arch was a 3 bracket HDR (High Dynamic Range) image. The normal exposure was aperture f/8.0, 1/160 sec shutter speed, ISO100 and 16mm focal length (1.5x crop). AS with my other HDR images, these were merged and tone-mapped in Adobe Lightroom.
